Alan Phipps, a Project Manager at Pure Strategies, specializes in assisting organizations realize a competitive advantage and economic benefit through sustainable business practices and “green” product design. Recent project work includes: life cycle assessments of consumer products and packaging, technical and economic assessment of alternatives to toxic chemicals in products, sustainable business practices for SME’s, and sustainable supply chain management. Alan has worked on projects with Seventh Generation, Stonyfield Farm, Herman Miller, Ford, Toxics Use Reduction Institute, EPA, and UNEP.

Alan earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and graduated from the University of Michigan Corporate Environmental Management Program with an M.B.A. and an M.S. in Environmental Policy. Alan has 13 years of experience in the plastics industry designing and selling material handling, process cooling and injection molding systems.
